A fun full-circle moment unfolded on social media when Salman Khan congratulated Preity Zinta’s team, Punjab Kings, after their win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the April 11 Indian Premier League match.

Salman took to X on Monday and wrote, “Well done Zinta. Congratulations Zinta. Team is playing well… @realpreityzinta.” Interestingly, his post came two days after the match, but that didn’t stop the internet from reacting instantly. Fans quickly dug up his viral 2014 tweet where he had asked, “Zinta’s team won kya (Has Zinta’s team won?)”, making this moment feel like a sequel 12 years in the making.

Social media users had a blast in the comments. Inspired by Salman’s Tiger franchise, one fan joked, “Tiger Zinda Hai, but Tiger Zinta Hai is the real blockbuster sequel.” Others added witty lines like “Tiger ko Zinta ki chinta hai” and “Tiger Zinta tha, Tiger Zinta hai, Tiger Zinta rahega — it’s a trilogy.” Many also noted Salman’s continued support for Punjab Kings and even said this “sequel” could break box office records.

Well Meanwhile, Salman’s next film Maatrubhumi, originally titled Battle of Galwan, is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash. Also starring Chitrangda Singh, the film has been delayed from its April 17 release to August due to reshoots. Reports suggest the makers aim to match the benchmark set by Dhurandhar 2.
