Television actor Nia Sharma has come out strongly in support of Hamid Barkzi after a controversy erupted over a dance performance on MTV Splitsvilla. Nia, who is currently seen as a “Mischief Maker” on the show, recently performed a sensual and high-energy dance with Hamid during a task where contestants expressed their love stories. Their chemistry grabbed attention but soon turned into a topic of debate online.

The issue began when an influencer, @that_annoyingkiddzzz, shared a video mocking Hamid and presenting him in what was described as an inappropriate context. The clip did not go down well with Nia, who immediately took a stand. On March 27, she took to Instagram and slammed the influencer, urging people to report the account. She wrote that such content crosses the line and added that “your brain is missing clearly,” calling out the need to respect people’s dignity.

Expressing further anger, Nia said that people should not put someone down just for “do kodi ke views” and reminded everyone that life is bigger than social media numbers. Following the backlash, the influencer posted another video defending herself and revealed that Nia had personally asked her to delete the clip. The controversial video has now been removed.
