Shrutika Arjun has grabbed attention with her honest and humorous take on nepotism during her appearance on the reality show The 50. Known for her outspoken nature and sharp sense of humour, Shrutika opened up about her film journey in a candid conversation with actor Karan Patel.

What began as fun banter soon turned into a surprising confession. Shrutika admitted, “My grandfather did 965 films in Tamil par maine nepotism ko waste kar diya, main bekar dikhti thi, aur meri 4 films flop.” At a time when nepotism is a hot topic in the entertainment industry, her statement struck a chord because she chose to openly acknowledge her failures instead of defending her background. She clearly stated that despite coming from a legendary film family, four of her films failed, proving that success cannot be guaranteed by legacy alone.

The conversation also featured playful exchanges. Karan jokingly told her, “You are a gorgeous woman till you keep your mouth shut.” Shrutika instantly replied, “Arjun bhi yehi bolta hai.” When asked, “Arjun kaun?” she responded with a smile, “Mera dharam pati.” Adding to the drama, Karan looked up and said, “He upar wale agar tu hai toh meri baat sunn aur apni galti sudhaar.” Despite calling him irritating, Shrutika ended the moment warmly by saying, “Aap bhi bahut irritating ho par majja aata hai.”

Well Earlier, speaking on a podcast with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Shrutika shared details about her early career. She revealed that at 16, she had already acted in four films as a heroine, but all turned out to be flops. Her grandfather, legendary Tamil comedian Thengai Srinivasan, acted in more than 900 films and worked with several South Indian stalwarts. Sadly, he passed away due to a brain hemorrhage when Shrutika was just a month old. She also shared that she was spotted at a restaurant at 16, which led to her first acting opportunity.
