Stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui has stirred up fresh buzz around the new reality show The 50 after calling it “torture” in a viral video. The show, which has already been making headlines for unexpected fights, controversies, and its long list of celebrity contestants, is now trending even more because of Munawar’s sharp remarks.

In the video shared on social media, Munawar joked, “Pehli baar aisa Indian history me ho raha hai ki celebrities jo hai wo perform karenge, aur fans ko paisa milega torture hone ka.” His sarcastic comment hinted that watching the show feels like torture for the audience.

He also took a dig at Prince Narula and Karan Patel for eliminating Vanshaj Singh in the very first episode. Munawar jokingly said the two might end up doing condom advertisements because “in dono ne Vansh ko aage badhne nahi diya,” implying they didn’t let “Vansh” (lineage) move forward.

He didn’t stop there. Speaking about Manisha Rani, Munawar commented, “Sab log isko kone me thasa ke rakhte hain,” and humorously compared her to the JioHotstar logo, saying she remains in the corner just like it.

According to reports, 26 participants have been eliminated so far, with 7 formally sent home from the competition. Vanshaj Singh was the first contestant to be evicted.
