Amazon’s streaming platform Amazon MX Player has dropped the trailer for Battleground Season 2 promising a bigger, tougher, and more intense return of its fitness reality show. The new season will start streaming for free from April 17, with fresh episodes releasing daily across mobile devices and connected TVs.

Building on the success of its debut season, the show ups the scale with 16 contestants divided into four teams. They will compete for the title of India’s ultimate Fitness Star through a mix of physical challenges, mental endurance tests, and strategic gameplay.

At the center of the action is cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, who returns as the Superselector, guiding contestants with his experience. This season also introduces team owners, adding a new competitive twist. Priyanka Chahar Choudhary leads the Mumbai Strikers, Khesari Lal Yadav heads the Bhojpuri Bhaukaals, Fukra Insaan commands the Delhi Dominators, and pro-kabaddi star Rahul Chaudhari leads the Telugu Tigers.

Inside the Battleground House, contestants will face daily tasks requiring consistency, along with high-pressure “Fight Club Weekend” face-offs that decide eliminations. The competition will ultimately crown one male and one female winner.

According to Amogh Dusad, Head of Content at MX Player, the new season aims to go beyond typical fitness shows by focusing on resilience and mental strength. Dhawan also emphasized that Season 2 will be more demanding, while Fukra Insaan noted that strategy and handling pressure will be key.
