Singer Arijit Singh has revealed that he is watching Bigg Boss 20 for the first time, all because his close friend Qazi Touqeer is a contestant on the Salman Khan-hosted reality show.

Arijit took to X and gave Qazi a special shout-out, writing, “I will have to watch Bigg Boss for the first time because apna rockstar Qazi hai udhar.” His post quickly caught fans’ attention, with many praising Arijit for supporting his friend.

Arijit and Qazi have shared a strong friendship since their Fame Gurukul days in 2005. Qazi won the singing reality show along with Ruprekha Banerjee, while Arijit finished sixth. Their friendship has continued over the years. Recently, Qazi visited Arijit’s hometown, Jiaganj in West Bengal, and shared pictures and glimpses of their reunion, remembering their journey from being teenagers on Fame Gurukul to meeting again in 2026.

Qazi, who also lent his voice to “Afghan Jalebi” from the 2015 film Phantom has spoken warmly about Arijit in the past, calling him a passionate and genuine person.

Well Qazi has now brought his energetic, larger-than-life personality to Bigg Boss 20. During the premiere, Salman Khan also praised his singing, saying, “Fantastic voice yaar, I like his voice.” With Arijit now tuning in to support his “rockstar” friend, Qazi’s Bigg Boss journey has become even more interesting for fans.
