The excitement around Indian reality television is building rapidly as The 50, hosted by filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan, prepares for its grand premiere on February 1. Even before the show goes on air, it has already grabbed attention with the steady reveal of its contestant lineup, keeping viewers curious and engaged.
The 50 features 50 celebrities coming from different backgrounds including television, social media and YouTube. The concept promises a high-energy mix of competition, strategy, alliances and unexpected twists. However, what has truly caught the audience’s interest is the strong presence of former Bigg Boss contestants. Almost half of the confirmed participants are familiar faces from Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss, many of whom created headlines and left a strong impact during their seasons.
Among the most talked-about names is Divya Agarwal, winner of Bigg Boss OTT Season 1, known for her fearless approach to the game. Veteran television star Urvashi Dholakia, who won Bigg Boss 6, is also part of the lineup, making her return to reality TV one of the most awaited moments of the show. Joining them are Archana Gautam and Shiv Thakare from Bigg Boss 16, both remembered for their strong personalities and intense gameplay, with Shiv finishing as the runner-up of the season.
The list further includes Monalisa from Bigg Boss 10, Neelam Giri from Bigg Boss 19, and Bigg Boss 18 contestants Chahat Pandey, Digvijay Rathee, Shrutika Arjun and Rajat Dalal. Other familiar faces include Yuvika Chaudhary from Bigg Boss 9, Nehal Chudasama from Bigg Boss 19, and Khanzadi from Bigg Boss 17. OTT viewers will recognise Manisha Rani and Bebika Dhurve from Bigg Boss OTT 2, while Lovekesh Kataria, who appeared on Bigg Boss OTT, is also part of the show.
Adding a regional touch are Arbaaz Shaikh, Nikki Tamboli and Jahnavi Killekar from Bigg Boss Marathi 5. Reality show regular Prince Narula is also among the confirmed contestants, further raising expectations from the show. Along with this BB11 fame Sapna Choudhary will also make it special for fan's.
Well, The 50 will stream live on JioHotstar at 9 pm and will also be telecast on Colors TV at 10.30 pm. With such a powerful mix of popular reality stars, the show is expected to deliver drama, intense competition and plenty of surprises from day one.
