Farah Khan Reveals Underworld Threat Before Karan Johar's ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ Premiere, Says Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan Also Faced Pressure!

Bollywood choreographer-director Farah Khan recently shared a surprising and tense memory from the time before the premiere of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. In a recent podcast , she revealed that filmmaker Karan Johar had received a serious underworld threat ahead of the film’s premiere, which left everyone extremely worried.

Farah recalled that the situation was frightening and created a lot of tension among the film’s team. According to her, the threat came around the time when the premieres of Duplicate and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai were being planned. Because of the threat, there were discussions about whether the premiere should be cancelled for safety reasons.

“It was very scary,” Farah said while talking about the incident. She explained that security had to be tightened at the event because Karan Johar was under immense stress. Since Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was his first film as a director, the situation made things even more difficult for him. “Imagine it’s your first film and you’re dealing with threats and worrying about security,” she added. Despite the tension and fear, the team eventually decided to go ahead with the premiere.

Farah also mentioned that some of Bollywood’s biggest stars, including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Aamir Khan, had also faced pressure from the underworld during that time.

Farah Khan began her Bollywood journey as a choreographer with Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992). Over the years, she became a successful filmmaker and directed popular movies like Main Hoon Na and Happy New Year. She married filmmaker Shirish Kunder in 2004, and the couple are parents to triplets — son Czar and daughters Diva and Anya.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar went on to direct major Bollywood hits such as Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. In 2017, he welcomed twins Roohi and Yash through surrogacy.
