Fans of the iconic comedy film series Hera Pheri were left shocked after veteran actor Paresh Rawal confirmed that he will not be part of the upcoming sequel, Hera Pheri 3. Rawal, who played the unforgettable character of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, recently broke his silence and addressed the rumors surrounding his exit.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Paresh Rawal clarified that his decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not because of any creative disagreement. In his post, he wrote, “I wish to put it on record that my decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. I REITERATE THAT THERE ARE NO CREATIVE DISAGREEMENT WITH THE FILM MAKER. I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Mr. Priyadarshan the film director.”
Earlier, many believed that Rawal quit the film because of issues with the filmmakers. This rumor began after actor Suniel Shetty, who plays Shyam in the film, revealed in an interview that Rawal had opted out of the film due to creative differences. However, Rawal has now denied those reports and cleared the air.

The Hera Pheri franchise began in the year 2000 with the film Hera Pheri, directed by Priyadarshan. The movie became a cult classic and was followed by a successful sequel Phir Hera Pheri in 2006, which was directed by Neeraj Vora. The third installment is reportedly being directed by Priyadarshan again.
Originally, the beloved trio of Akshay Kumar (Raju), Suniel Shetty (Shyam), and Paresh Rawal (Baburao) were expected to reunite. There were also reports that Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham were to join the cast, but later Kartik Aaryan’s name came into the news as well.
After Rawal’s exit, many fans and netizens expressed their disappointment, stating that Hera Pheri would not feel the same without Baburao. Suniel Shetty himself said, “When it comes to Hera Pheri, if it wasn’t Babu Bhai (Paresh Rawal) and Raju (Akshay Kumar), Shyam (Suniel Shetty) wouldn’t exist and he has no meaning. You take any one of them out, and the film doesn’t work.”
On the work front, Paresh Rawal will be seen in Bhooth Bangla, a film directed by Priyadarshan and starring Tabu and Akshay Kumar. Meanwhile, Suniel Shetty will be appearing next in Welcome To The Jungle, alongside Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal.
Well, The fans will surely miss Baburao’s charm and comedy in Hera Pheri 3.
