In a shocking turn of events, Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav received a death threat during a cricket match against comedian and Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui on Sunday. The match was part of the ECL 2024 tournament at the IG Indoor Stadium in Delhi. Elvish captained his team, Haryanvi Hunters (HH), while Munawar led the Mumbai Disruptors (MD).

The two captains were seen engaging in lighthearted banter with presenter Shefali Bagga before the match started, creating a friendly atmosphere. However, things took a dark turn when Elvish received a death threat for playing against Munawar. The threat immediately caused panic among the officials, who took swift action to ensure the safety of everyone in attendance.

As part of the safety protocol, the jam-packed stadium was evacuated, and the entrances were sealed. Photos and videos that surfaced on social media showed Elvish's fans exiting the stadium in large numbers. Despite the security scare, the match continued, though only the management team and other officials remained inside the venue.

Neither Elvish nor the event organizers have issued an official statement regarding the incident as of yet. This is not the first time Elvish has faced backlash over his interactions with Munawar Faruqui. Earlier this year, during the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), the two were seen bonding and hugging each other, which angered many of Elvish’s fans.

Elvish was labeled a "traitor" and "anti-Hindu" by some followers for his camaraderie with Munawar. The situation escalated, and Elvish even received death threats. In response to the controversy, Elvish had issued an unconditional apology, stating that he would prioritize his religion over any friendship. He made his stance clear by saying, "Apne Hindu dharam ke upar, apne sanatan dharam ke upar, ek nahi, hazaar Munawar Faruqui qurbaan hai. I don't consider him my friend or brother."

Well, The cricket match, meant to be a fun and competitive event, has now taken a serious and unfortunate turn due to these ongoing tensions. Fans are eagerly waiting for an official response from Elvish and the organizers.
