The makers of Bigg Boss are gearing up to launch a brand-new reality show titled The 50 and it is already creating a strong buzz even before its premiere. The show promises a fresh concept, a star-studded line-up, and a highly interactive format that aims to keep viewers deeply engaged.

According to sources close to the production, Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat is currently in advanced talks to be part of the show. A source revealed that discussions with Mallika have reached a crucial stage and that she is most likely to come on board . Her presence is expected to add glamour and strong personality appeal to the show. In addition to Mallika, the makers have also approached television actor Vivian Dsena, and conversations with him are still ongoing.

The 50 will feature 50 celebrities and will be shot over a compact schedule of 25 days making it fast-paced and intense. Unlike traditional reality shows, the format of The 50 stands out because it places a strong emphasis on viewer participation. Audiences will not just watch the drama unfold but will actively influence the game, making the experience more engaging and immersive.

Adding to the buzz, filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan has been roped in to promote the show, giving it strong visibility ahead of its launch. The show is scheduled to premiere on February 1. Reports also suggest that Ridhi Dogra and Karan Patel are expected to be part of the celebrity line-up, further raising excitement.

Conceptually, the show is set in a villa, overseen by a mysterious masked figure known as the ‘lion’ who acts as the sanchalak Symbolising authority and control, the lion assigns tasks to contestants through selected intermediaries. These tasks test not only performance but also strategy, adaptability, and mental strength. Contestants who fail to meet expectations face elimination by the sanchalak.

Well, In a unique twist, the cash prize won in the finale will be handed over to a fan who completes the final task, reinforcing the show’s interactive nature. The makers have clearly stated that despite being from the Bigg Boss team, The 50 follows a completely different creative approach and should not be compared to any existing reality format.
