Salman Khan’s much-awaited film Battle Of Galwan may not hit theatres on its scheduled April 17 release date, according to recent reports. The movie, directed by Apoorva Lakhia and billed as a brutal war thriller, is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash that led to the death of 20 Indian soldiers and heightened tensions along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh.

As per a reports , the makers are considering postponing the release because the film’s shoot is still not fully complete. A source quoted by the portal revealed that the reshoot is taking longer than expected. From February 9, the team is set to begin a one-week shooting schedule at the Golden Tobacco Factory in Mumbai. Even after this schedule, a few more days of filming will remain, and the entire shoot is expected to wrap up only by the end of February.

Once shooting is completed, director Apoorva Lakhia will begin editing the reshot portions. Apart from this, the film must also be shown to the Ministry of Defence, as per rules, and this approval process could take additional time. Due to these factors, the makers feel it may be difficult to meet the April 17 deadline. Salman Khan reportedly believes that such a special and patriotic film should not be rushed and should be handled with care to ensure the final product looks appealing, compelling, and cinematic.

However, no final decision has been taken yet. The source added that Salman Khan is unpredictable and could still release the film on April 17, though the chances appear slim and the release might be on August 15th instead.

Well, The teaser of Battle Of Galwan, released on Salman’s birthday last year, received mixed reactions online. While some users mocked his expression in a battle scene, his fans loved it. The film also stars Heera Sohal, Zeyn Shaw, Ankur Bhatia, Abhilash Chaudhary, Vipin Bhardwaj, and Chitrangda Singh.
