The Bhojpuri film industry is currently facing controversy after actor-singer Pawan Singh was summoned by the Haryana State Commission for Women (HSCW) following serious allegations made by his co-star Anjali Raghav.

According to reports, Anjali Raghav filed a complaint with the Women’s Commission claiming that Pawan Singh touched her inappropriately during a promotional event held in Lucknow in 2025. The event was organized to promote his song “Saiya Seva Kare.” She alleged that the actor touched her waist on stage without her consent. In addition, she claimed that videos of the incident were deliberately made viral by Pawan’s associates, which negatively affected her reputation.

Taking swift action, the Haryana State Commission for Women issued notices to both Pawan Singh and Anjali Raghav. The Commission has directed both parties to appear for a public hearing scheduled in Faridabad on April 2, where their statements will be recorded and further action will be decided based on the facts presented.

After multiple videos from the event surfaced online, Anjali shared her reaction on Instagram, saying she felt “disturbed” by the incident. She also made a strong statement that she would no longer work in the Bhojpuri industry.

Responding to the allegations, Pawan Singh posted on Instagram Stories, stating that he had no “wrong intention.” He expressed that he felt “very bad” after learning about the situation and clarified that he never intended to disrespect her. He also issued an apology, saying that if his behavior caused any discomfort, he was sincerely sorry.
