Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has made headlines once again, this time for investing in a luxury property project in Ayodhya ahead of the release of his much-awaited film Ramayana. The actor has purchased land worth Rs 3.31 crore in The Sarayu, a premium real estate development by House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL).

According to reports, the property spreads across 2,134 square feet and is part of a massive 75-acre project located on the banks of the Sarayu River in Ayodhya. The luxury development will feature a grand clubhouse, modern lifestyle amenities, and a premium hotel managed by The Leela.

Speaking about his investment, Ranbir shared an emotional connection with the spiritual city. The actor said, “I believe Ayodhya has chosen me, and I have just answered this calling.” He further added that Ayodhya is deeply rooted in India’s history and cultural identity. Calling the purchase a part of his family legacy, Ranbir said the land at The Sarayu would help him create a lasting connection with the holy city for future generations.

The timing of the investment has also grabbed attention as Ranbir is set to portray Lord Ram in the upcoming big-budget film Ramayana.

Abhinandan Lodha, chairman of HoABL, stated that Ayodhya is currently witnessing India’s “cultural and spiritual resurgence.” He said Ranbir Kapoor’s investment reflects the growing confidence among buyers who now see Ayodhya not only as an emotional destination but also as a strong future investment opportunity.

Well, Government data also highlights Ayodhya’s rapid growth in tourism. Visitor numbers reportedly surged from around 5.75 crore before the Ram Temple completion to nearly 23 crore visitors between January and June 2025 alone.
