Rumours around the much-awaited third installment of the iconic comedy franchise Hera Pheri are once again making headlines. This time, reports claiming that veteran actor Paresh Rawal has allegedly exited Hera Pheri 3 have left fans worried and confused.

The buzz started after several reports suggested that Paresh Rawal, who is loved for playing the unforgettable character Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, may no longer be part of the film. Interestingly, these rumours surfaced months after it was reported that the actor had reunited with his co-stars Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty for the third part of the franchise.

Reacting to the ongoing speculation, filmmaker Priyadarshan, who is expected to direct Hera Pheri 3, gave a brief response. Speaking to the media, he said, “I am not aware,” leaving fans even more curious about the film’s current status.

According to a reports, Paresh Rawal allegedly returned the signing amount of Rs 11 lakh along with 15% yearly interest and some extra money to the makers before stepping away from the project. The report further claimed that the actor’s total fee for the film was fixed at Rs 15 crore. However, the agreement reportedly stated that he would receive the remaining Rs 14.89 crore only one month after the movie’s release.

The report also mentioned that the film’s principal shoot was expected to begin next year, meaning the release could happen only in late 2026 or even 2027. As a result, Paresh Rawal would reportedly have to wait nearly two years to receive the rest of his payment, which may have led to concerns over the deal.

Well, Adding to the uncertainty, Akshay Kumar had earlier hinted that Hera Pheri 3 is currently not happening. The actor said the film would be made when the timing feels right and joked that he only hopes the cast does not become too old before it finally goes on floors.
