Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan has shared a cryptic message on social media after a key legal development in the ongoing estate dispute involving her sister Karisma Kapoor’s children. Taking to Instagram Stories, Kareena wrote, “And there is light Justice and truth will always prevail. Chardikala ,” hinting at relief for the family.

On Thursday, the Delhi High Court granted interim relief in the case concerning the estate of late businessman Sunjay Kapur. The court ordered that status quo be maintained over his assets and restrained his widow Priya Sachdev Kapur from taking further action. It also directed submission of account statements and restricted operations of Sunjay’s foreign bank accounts and cryptocurrency holdings, stressing that preserving the estate is crucial while the matter proceeds to trial.

The dispute began after Sunjay’s death on June 12, 2025, with his estate reportedly valued at ₹30,000 crore. In August, Priya submitted a will claiming to be the sole beneficiary. However, the will has been challenged by his children, Samaira Kapur and Kiaan Kapur, along with his mother, Rani Kapur.

Representing the children, senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani raised concerns about the will’s authenticity, pointing to inconsistencies, lack of registration, and doubts over its preparation. He argued that stricter scrutiny is needed since Priya is both the propounder and sole beneficiary.

Well, Karisma, who married Sunjay in 2003 and divorced him in 2016 after a turbulent relationship, has filed the case on behalf of her children, alleging the will was fabricated and unfairly excludes them from their rightful inheritance.
