Gautam Ahuja on Portraying Vihaan in Aukaat Se Zyada: “It’s a Journey of Discovery for Both of Us”

Gautam Ahuja, who won hearts as Adi in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and has also appeared in shows like Apnapan and Tera Yaar Hoon Main, is now impressing audiences with his role as Vihaan in the YouTube series Aukaat Se Zyada on Freshh Mint, produced by Yash and Mamta Patnaik's Inspire Films. Despite not personally relating to Vihaan, Gautam finds joy in portraying this complex character.

“I am playing Vihaan, and to be honest, there's not much I can reveal about him right now because anything I say might give away his entire plot. However, I can guarantee that Vihaan has one of the most beautifully developed arcs in the entire show, and I am thrilled to be portraying him,” he shares.

Gautam adds, “I don’t really relate to Vihaan, and I think that’s the beauty of it. I’m enjoying diving deep into his emotions, which are vast and complex, even beyond what Vihaan himself is aware of. It’s been a journey of discovery for both of us, as I’m getting to know Vihaan just as he is getting to know himself.”

Discussing what makes the series stand out, Gautam says, “Having a show on YouTube is fantastic because it’s such an easily accessible platform, especially for the youth. Aukaat Se Zyada has the power to inspire, entertain, and share valuable perspectives with a wide audience. All the characters motivate you to push your limits, break boundaries, and think outside the box.”

When asked about his experience working with Yash and Mamta Patnaik, Gautam expresses his gratitude: “Working with Yash Sir and Mamta Ma’am has been great so far. They are incredibly professional, supportive, and inspiring. They give actors the freedom to perform in a way that feels right for both the character and the show. Their encouragement has made the experience amazing so far.”
