Actress Sana Makbul is welcoming Eid al-Adha with a heart full of gratitude and love. Known for her calm energy and strong roots, Sana says Eid is more than just a celebration it’s a time to reconnect.

“Eid al-Adha is all about gratitude, family, and of course, amazing food!” she shares. “My mom’s biryani is the highlight there’s something so nostalgic about the way she makes it. She also prepares the softest kebabs and sheer khurma that feels like a warm hug. I, though, must admit I’m still better at eating than cooking,” she laughs.

For Sana, it’s the togetherness that makes the festival memorable. “It’s the joy of being in one room, sharing stories while the food simmers that’s what Eid means to me.”

She adds, “Both Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid al-Adha are reminders to pause, pray, and reconnect with your faith, family, and yourself. This year, I’m keeping things simple. Just being around my parents, offering namaaz, and having slow meals that’s what I treasure the most.”

Reflecting on her recent Umrah, Sana says, “Visiting Mecca and Medina changed something in me. I felt a peace I’d never known. Hajj is definitely on my mind. InshaAllah, when the time is right, I’ll take that journey.”

From soulful experiences to homemade food, Sana’s Eid is all heart.
