In a surprising twist for television fans, actress Shilpa Shinde might soon make a grand comeback as Angoori Bhabhi in Binaiferr and Sanjay Kohli’s hit comedy show Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai. Shilpa, who originally brought the lovable Angoori Bhabhi to life when the show launched in 2015, left just a year later in 2016. After her exit, Shubhangi Atre stepped in and continued playing the popular character for almost nine years.

Now, as the show nears a decade on air, the makers are reportedly planning a major revamp — and Shilpa’s return could be the biggest highlight. A source close to the production revealed, “Yes, there are talks for Shilpa to return as Angoori Bhabhi and everyone is hoping the deal materialises soon. The decision was made because the team feels the show needs a revival. After running successfully for a decade, the channel wants to introduce new elements and characters to refresh Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai.

According to the same source, a new set is already being built, and fans can expect major changes in the storyline as well. The makers plan to begin shooting for what’s being called Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai 2.0 by mid-December, marking a fresh chapter in the show’s journey.

On the professional front, Shilpa was last seen in February 2023 in a cameo role in Maddam Sir, though her track ended abruptly. After that, she made her television return with the 14th season of Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi.

Speaking earlier about her career gap, Shilpa shared, “People often ask me why I haven’t been working. It’s not that I don’t want to work, but I should get an offer that truly excites me. There’s a belief that once you step away from the screen, you’re finished. However, by God’s grace, that hasn’t happened to me. I want to be selective about my work, and for that, patience is key.”

Well, While no official confirmation has been made yet, the buzz about Shilpa’s comeback as Angoori Bhabhi has already taken the internet by storm. If all goes well, fans might soon see the original Angoori Bhabhi once again spreading her trademark charm on screen.
