The wait is finally over for fans of the iconic Hera Pheri franchise! After weeks of speculation and drama, veteran actor Paresh Rawal has seemingly confirmed his return as the beloved Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, also known as "Babu Bhaiya", in Hera Pheri 3. This comes after a sudden and shocking exit last month that left fans heartbroken and sparked massive controversy online.
Paresh Rawal’s abrupt decision to step away from the film reportedly caused chaos behind the scenes. According to reports, Akshay Kumar — who plays Raju in the series and is also co-producing the third installment — even sent a legal damage notice worth ₹25 crore to Rawal over the disruption his exit caused.
But now, things appear to be back on track. In a recent podcast the 70-year-old actor cleared the air once and for all. When asked about the controversy, Rawal calmly responded, "Nahi, controversy kuchh nahi hai. Kya hota hai ki jab cheez itni logon ko bhaati hai, tab we have to be extra careful. It is our responsibility for the audience."
He went on to explain that the audience's love and expectations demand dedication and hard work from the cast. "You can't take things for granted. Mehnat karke unko do. Toh mera ye hi hai ki sab aaye saath mein, mehnat karein. Aur kuchh nahi. But ye kuchh hua nahi hai. It is all resolved now,” he added.
His statement has reassured fans who were worried about the fate of the film. Many had begun speculating that the drama was simply a PR stunt, dubbing the situation as “All PR” on social media.
Well Now, with Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, and Suniel Shetty (as Shyam) all back together, the original trio is set to reunite, bringing the much-loved comedy series back to life. Fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief — Hera Pheri 3 is officially back on track, and Babu Bhaiya is here to stay!
