Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s much-anticipated sequel, Stree 2, has been making headlines for its remarkable box office performance. The horror comedy, directed by Amar Kaushik, is the follow-up to the 2018 hit Stree. From the moment it released, Stree 2 has captivated audiences and critics alike, proving to be a blockbuster hit.

On its opening day, Stree 2 made a stunning debut with a collection of Rs 60.3 crores, the highest opening day figure of 2024 and the biggest opener ever for both Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. Despite a minor drop in numbers on the second day, the film rebounded strongly over the weekend. According to reports, it earned Rs 31.4 crores on the first Friday and Rs 43.85 crores on the first Saturday.

The excitement continued on Day 4, which was the film's first Sunday. Stree 2 raked in Rs 55 crores, pushing its total collection to an impressive Rs 190.55 crores. This stellar performance has allowed Stree 2 to surpass previous record-holders such as Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, Yash’s KGF Chapter 2, and Prabhas' Baahubali 2. Notably, with its Rs 55 crores collection on Day 4, Stree 2 has achieved the second-highest fourth-day earnings in India, only behind Jawan, which earned Rs 71.63 crores. Pathaan had earned Rs 51.5 crores, while KGF 2 and Baahubali 2 recorded Rs 50.35 crores and Rs 40.25 crores respectively on their fourth days.

Well The film's success is even more notable considering its competition, as it clashed with Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa. Despite the competition, Stree 2 has triumphed, dominating the box office and setting new benchmarks for Bollywood sequels.
