According to recent reports, Karan is now being considered to play the main villain in the much-awaited action thriller starring Ranveer Singh.

Don 3, directed by Farhan Akhtar, is the next chapter in the iconic Don franchise that was once led by Bollywood legends Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. Since the film's official announcement in 2023, fans have been curious — and at times divided — over the casting choices, especially with Ranveer stepping into the iconic shoes of Don.

Originally, actor Vikrant Massey was rumored to be cast as the antagonist. However, reports suggest that he stepped away from the project because the role “lacked depth.” Following his exit, other popular actors like Vijay Deverakonda and Aditya Roy Kapur were also approached, but none were finalized.

Now, insiders say Karan Veer Mehra is in serious talks. A source revealed, “Nothing is confirmed yet, but Karan is definitely being considered. His recent transformation and screen presence in Silaa have impressed many in the industry.” Fueling the rumors further, Karan was also spotted outside Excel Entertainment’s office, the production house behind the Don franchise.

On the other hand, there’s also news about the female lead. Kiara Advani, who was earlier roped in for the role, has reportedly stepped away from the film due to her pregnancy and recent childbirth. Now, actress Kriti Sanon is said to be replacing her.
