The café, named Kap’s Café, was targeted in a violent attack when an unidentified man opened fire at the building. A video of the incident has gone viral, showing a man seated inside a car firing bullets at the café’s exterior.

Reports confirm that the staff was present inside the café at the time of the attack, but no one was injured. However, the shooting caused property damage, and the act seems to have been done with the intention of harming the business.

In the wake of the incident, Kap’s Café shared an official statement on Instagram. The post began with the words, “A message from the heart,” expressing deep sadness over the violence. It stated that the café was started with the intention of creating warmth, community, and joy, and seeing it attacked was heartbreaking. The team added that they are still processing the shock but made it clear that they are not giving up. The post also acknowledged the supportive messages and concern from fans, thanking everyone for their kind words. “Let’s stand firm against violence and ensure Kap’s Café remains a place of warmth and community,” the post concluded.

What’s more alarming is that the attack has now taken a terror-related turn. As per reports, Harjit Singh Laddi, a Khalistani terrorist allegedly linked to Babbar Khalsa International, has claimed responsibility for the attack. He is reportedly on the National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) list of India’s most wanted terrorists, with a reward of Rs 10 lakh announced for any information leading to him.

According to reports, Harjit Singh Laddi claimed responsibility through a social media post, stating that the attack was in response to a remark made by Kapil Sharma on Nihang Singhs during one of the episodes of The Kapil Sharma Show.
