The long-standing tension between Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and the Bishnoi community has resurfaced once again, as Lawrence Bishnoi's cousin, Ramesh Bishnoi, has made fresh allegations regarding the blackbuck hunting incident. Ramesh, speaking to a media portal, revealed that the entire Bishnoi community stands firmly with Lawrence Bishnoi, the jailed gangster, over the matter. He also claimed that Salman Khan had offered money to the Bishnoi community in the past, but they refused to accept it.

The issue stems from the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, in which Salman Khan was accused of killing a blackbuck, an animal considered sacred by the Bishnoi community, as they worship and protect it. Lawrence Bishnoi, currently serving time in Gujarat's Sabarmati Jail for multiple charges, has publicly expressed his anger over the killing. In a 2023 interview, Lawrence had stated that Salman disrespected the Bishnoi community by killing the blackbuck. Since then, Salman has been receiving death threats from Lawrence and his gang.

In his recent statement, Ramesh Bishnoi alleged that Salman Khan's father, Salim Khan, had suggested that Lawrence's gang was threatening Salman for financial gain. However, Ramesh refuted this claim by revealing that Salman had once brought a cheque book to the Bishnoi community, offering them money. "His father, Salim Khan, said that the Lawrence gang is doing this for money. I want to remind him that his son brought a cheque book in front of the community, saying fill in the figures and take it. If we were hungry for money, we would have taken it at that time," said Ramesh.

He also added that the entire Bishnoi community was deeply angered when the blackbuck incident occurred. "When Salman Khan killed the blackbuck, every Bishnoi's blood was boiling. We left it to the court to decide. But if the community was made fun of, then it is natural for society to get angry. Today, the entire Bishnoi community stands with Lawrence in this matter," Ramesh explained.

In April 2024, Navi Mumbai Police registered a case against unidentified members of the Bishnoi gang for allegedly conspiring to kill Salman Khan at his Panvel farmhouse. The gang had previously fired shots outside Salman's Bandra residence in Mumbai. Additionally, Salman received death threats demanding ₹5 crore to settle the long-standing feud with Lawrence Bishnoi. The gang warned that if the money was not paid, Salman's fate could be worse than that of Baba Siddique, a politician who had passed away recently.

Well, The tension continues as Salman Khan remains under heightened security amid these threats.
