Bigg Boss 18 is all set to begin on October 6, with Salman Khan returning as host. This season, the theme is ‘Time ka Taandav,’ focusing on the past, present, and future. The house has been designed to reflect this theme, blending the vibes of caves and forts. Art director Omung Kumar shared that the house this year represents India’s ancient history, with earthy tones, intricate sculptures, and massive motifs.
As you enter, the garden area impresses with towering pillars and a pathway that leads to the house. This space divides the outside area and adds a dramatic touch to the entrance. Hidden doors, secret entrances, and well-placed cameras enhance the mystery and challenge for the contestants, making navigation tricky.

The bathroom is one of the most exciting features of this season, designed like a Turkish hammam. The entrance to the bathroom is guarded by a massive Trojan horse, which includes seating that offers a great view of the house. The living room blends urban and earthy elements, and the dining table is placed at the center, commanding attention. Meanwhile, the kitchen is designed to look like a cave, and the bedroom has a fortress-like vibe with multiple levels that might tire contestants over time. There’s also a jail this year, adding to the tension and drama.
Omung Kumar explained that designing the house took around 45 days, starting right after Bigg Boss OTT 3 ended. While planning the house only took half a day, creating the floor plan was the most challenging part, especially the steps in the bedroom, which added complexity to the design.
Speaking about the budget, Omung admitted that he often goes overboard. Despite having a set budget, he and his team always strive for perfection. His favorite spot in the house this year is the seating area with an elephant motif. He also shared how a huge face motif initially left him doubtful, but it eventually turned out perfect.
