This decision came after a heated on-set spat with co-judges Rubina Dilaik and Abhishek Malhan.

According to reports, things took a nasty turn during Thursday’s shoot of Battleground. A casual conversation between Asim and Abhishek Malhan quickly escalated into a full-blown argument. The fight got so intense that Rubina Dilaik stepped in, trying to calm things down. But instead of diffusing the situation, it got worse. Asim allegedly insulted Rubina during the exchange.

A crew member present on set shared that the shoot had to be stopped immediately. “Everyone rushed to their vanity vans, and the filming was called off on the spot,” the crew member said. Following this chaotic incident, Asim was reportedly asked to step down from the show. However, no official statement has been released yet. Sources say Asim's team is currently in talks with the show's producers, trying to sort things out.

This isn’t the first time Asim has been in the news for controversial behavior. Just a few days ago, a video of him arguing with Rubina went viral on social media. In the video, Rubina advised Asim not to demoralize a contestant but to guide them instead. Asim snapped back, mocking her by calling her a “TV actor” and saying the show wasn’t a “serial.” Rubina fired back, saying he was being disrespectful. Fellow judge and cricketer Shikhar Dhawan had to step in and asked Asim to apologize for his rude remark.
